Emma is a Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) based at Concord Repatriation General Hospital (CRGH) and has over 16 years burns nursing experience providing complex wound management and clinician support throughout both the critical care and acute phases of burn Injury.
Throughout her career, Emma has built knowledge in intensive care, emergency response, tissue engineered products and burns management, collaborating across major metropolitan hospitals and teaching in both academic and clinical settings. She has contributed to the development of local protocols, supported new clinicians in their transition to practice, and delivered professional education sessions designed to improve patient safety and outcomes.
Emma is widely recognised for her ability to combine technical skill with compassionate care. She is committed to mentoring colleagues, fostering collaborative multidisciplinary practice, and ensuring patients and families remain at the heart of decision-making. With strong communication skills and a passion for continuous learning, she consistently bridges the gap between evidence-based practice and everyday clinical challenges.
Currently, Emma is focused on advancing education programs for critical care nurses, with a particular interest in burns management and prevention. She remains committed to professional development and innovation in healthcare, aiming to improve standards of care across the system.
