Elad EZ Zvi
Dr Elad Zvi, MD is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and current Burn Fellow at the Victorian Adult Burns Service, The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, Australia. He earned his medical degree from Tel Aviv University Faculty of Medicine in 2017, completing his internship with honors at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov). Dr Zvi also holds certification in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine from the Maritime Medicine Institute and has served as a physician at the Hyperbaric Center in Tel Aviv.
Throughout his training, he has been actively involved in medical leadership, including serving as a physician’s committee representative at Ichilov. His clinical and research interests include acute burn management, reconstructive surgery, wound healing, and infection control. He has presented at national and international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals, contributing to advances in multidisciplinary burn care and outcomes for patients with complex injuries.
During his fellowship at The Alfred, Dr Zvi has been engaged in both clinical and translational research, including innovative projects in disinfection technology, skin substitutes, and the burn wound microbiome. Following completion of his fellowship, he will return to Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center to establish a dedicated burn unit, reflecting his commitment to developing and advancing burn care in Israel.
